Qurban Animal Slaughter Training and Cooking Competition SMK Kesehatan Bantul 2026
In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1447 H, SMK Kesehatan Bantul held a training session on qurban animal slaughter along with a cooking competition for all Grade X and XI students. The event took place from 07:00 AM until completion, and was met with great enthusiasm from students and teaching staff alike.
This activity was organized to broaden religious knowledge, values of compassion, and develop students’ creativity. SMK Kesehatan Bantul focuses not only on academic learning and technical health skills, but is also committed to shaping students of noble character—students who understand religious.
The first part of the event was the training on qurban animal slaughter, guided by experts and school supervisors. Students were taught proper slaughter procedures in accordance with Islamic law, principles of animal welfare, as well as food hygiene and safety.
The program continued with a cooking competition using qurban meat as the main ingredient. This segment served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity in turning raw ingredients into delicious and nutritious meals. Competition rules stated that each participant must bring their own cooking equipment, maintain cleanliness throughout the activity, and wear sports attire for comfort and safety. Judging criteria included not only taste, but also hygiene, processing methods, and presentation.
The Principal of SMK Kesehatan Bantul stated that such activities are held regularly as part of student character development. “Through this program, students learn—they experience the meaning of sharing and responsibility” he explained.
The event concluded with the distribution of cooked meals and qurban meat to local residents and those in need. It is hoped that similar activities will continue to be held annually.
