Industrial Visit to Surabaya Malang of SMK Kesehatan Bantul 2026
All Grade 10 students from SMK Kesehatan Bantul, representing four majors – Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM), and Visual Communication Design (DKV) – have recently completed a four-day Industrial Visit program held from April 19 to 22, 2026. The group traveled to the cities of Surabaya and Malang, accompanied by their teachers and the School Principal.
This initiative aims to provide students with firsthand experience of the actual working environment and industry practices, while broadening their understanding of how the knowledge learned in school is applied in real-life settings.
The trip began on Monday, April 19, 2026, at 18:00 WIB, departing to Surabaya, East Java. After a long trip, the group arrived at their destination and started the industrial visit agenda on the second day.
In Surabaya, students visited several key locations relevant to their fields of study, including RS (hospital) RKZ and Silverstone Studio. These visits offered a clear picture of hospital operations, healthcare services, and the creative industry. Meanwhile, in Malang, students had the opportunity to observe production processes and services at PT Yakult (for Pharmacy and Visual Design program), Panti Yayasan P.K for Nursing program, and Paramedita Laboratory for Technology Laboratory program. Each visit was guided by professional instructors, allowing students to ask questions and discuss work procedures, technologies used, and the challenges faced in the field.
In addition to educational activities, the group also visited educational and recreational attractions such as Taman Park 1, the Human Body Museum, and Taman Safari Prigen. These activities not only provided a refreshing break from learning but also strengthened the bond between students and teachers.
The Principal of SMK Kesehatan Bantul emphasized that industrial visits are an essential part of the curriculum. "Through this program, we hope students not only understand the theory but also see how their knowledge is applied in the real world. Whether in the healthcare or creative sectors, all fields play important roles and complement each other," stated the Principal.
The students showed great enthusiasm throughout the event. They acknowledged gaining valuable new knowledge and motivation to study harder, preparing themselves for their future careers.
After four days of activities, the group returned to school on Thursday, April 22, 2026, at 5 am, bringing back a wealth of experience and memories. This Industrial Visit is expected to serve as valuable preparation for the students of SMK Kesehatan Bantul, encouraging them to continue excelling and competing successfully in the future.
